On Thursday 23 June representatives from 11 Papworth Trust user groups attended the first Papworth Trust Forum. In the past we had a Papworth Trust User Council; this was found to be very structured and formal, it was decided to use the present format to reach more people who use Papworth Trust services.
It is very important to Papworth Trust that people who use services have more say in what Papworth Trust does now and in the future - this is why we now have the Forum.
The Forum gave people a chance to voice their opinions and say what they would like to see done at Papworth Trust; for example representatives had an opportunity to influence Papworth Trust's Strategy and plans for the next 5 years and beyond. It is a good way for fellow users to meet each other and their Trustee User Representatives, this is so important as the organisation is growing larger and larger (as we speak probably!).
Some of the things people said:
"Enjoyed the day, would do it again if asked."
"It was a very good day"
"It is interesting, I like my presentation. I enjoyed myself. I would like to talk more about employment and housing."
We think we would be safe to say the day was a success and has potential to be even more successful in the future! This is all still very new and we'd like to hear what people think. Please give your opinions:

Tell us what you think!
We would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work at the Forum.
