Activities
Practise serving customers in a local café. This is a fun way to meet people and get some work experience.
Whether you're a complete beginner or you want to improve your skills, these sessions can help you use computers and the internet.
Learn to plan, prepare and cook healthy and tasty meals.
Try storytelling, role play and acting and build your confidence.
Learn how to grow fruit, vegetables and flowers, look after a garden and harvest produce.
Learn what volunteering is, what the benefits are and how you can get involved.
Learn skills to live independently, such as managing your money, doing jobs around the house and travelling by yourself.
Learn how to run a kiosk, selling drinks and snacks to customers.
This session is all about numbers and improving your maths skills.
Park rangers look after parks - find out more about what they do and try it yourself in these sessions.
- Personal, Social, Health and Economic education (PSHE)
These sessions deal with real life issues that affect you. They will help you to develop the knowledge and skills you need to manage your life.
Have fun improving your reading and writing skills.
Learn how to work at a reception desk. You will practise greeting visitors, answering the phone, sending faxes and using the visitors' book.
Improve your speaking and listening skills so you can express your ideas confidently and clearly, and listen and respond to other people.
Opening hours
The centre is open on weekdays (Monday-Friday) from 10am to 4pm. We also run a youth club at the centre on Monday evenings from 7pm to 9pm.
Costs and booking
Sessions start from £17.85 for a half day session and £35.70 for a full day session.
If you haven't been to our centre before, you can do a free taster session to meet us and decide if you'd like to come back for more sessions.
