What jobs can we do?

We can:

  • Put up shelves or curtain rails
  • Do minor carpentry, plumbing and electrical work
  • Fit locks and bolts
  • Paint and decorate
  • Hang pictures
  • Fit grab and stair rails
  • Clean windows
  • Fit smoke detectors
  • Build flat pack furniture
  • ...and many other jobs.

All our handypeople have enhanced CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checks.


How much does it cost?

The service starts at £12 per hour.

We can offer discounted rates to some customers, including older and disabled people. We will ask you a few questions - for example, about any benefits you get - to see if you can get a discounted rate. If we think you might be able to get grants to pay for some of the cost, we will tell you and explain how to apply for them.

We will ask you how you prefer to pay.


Where is the service available?

Our handyperson team works in:

  • Buckinghamshire - Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.
  • Cambridgeshire - Papworth Everard and surrounding areas, including Cambridge, Huntingdon, St Ives and St Neots.
  • East Hertfordshire - including Bishop's Stortford, Broxbourne, Hertford and surrounding areas.
  • Essex - Basildon, Brentwood, Castle Point, Harlow, Rochford, Thurrock, Uttlesford and surrounding areas.
  • Greater London - Waltham Forest and surrounding areas.
  • Leicestershire - including Kibworth Harcourt and surrounding areas.

What else do we do?
