News: New Director of Fundraising

Papworth Trust has appointed Marie Davies as our new Director of Fundraising. Marie has held the post on an interim basis since January 2012.

Marie has had a long and varied career in fundraising, which includes roles as Interim Director of Fundraising at national charity Gingerbread and Deputy Chief Executive at East Anglia's Children's Hospices.

Marie commented: "We know that disabled people are twice as likely to live in poverty as non-disabled people. I'm really excited to be leading the drive for increased donations and more volunteers, which will mean that Papworth Trust can offer more support that disabled people really need and want."

Chief Executive Adrian Bagg said: "At Papworth Trust we've seen our services become ever more vital in the last few years. There's a huge amount of unmet need out there - Marie's experience at raising money and understanding the importance of volunteering means that we will be able to offer help to even more people."
